VVAS Presents a

Special Campaign

1,000 Miles. One Mission. A Lasting Impact.

The Story

One veteran. One thousand miles.

Miles for Veterans Recovery is led by Charles P. Jones, a veteran committed to confronting the silent battles too many of our brothers and sisters face after the uniform comes off — addiction, substance abuse, and mental health struggles.

This challenge is dedicated to the legacy of Staff Sergeant Allen Davis, USMC — a Marine whose memory continues to inspire a year-long mission of awareness, recovery, and hope. Every mile represents a step toward a veteran reclaiming their life.

Throughout 2026, participants from across the country will walk, run, bike, swim, hike, and ruck to cover 1,000 collective miles — and raise critical funds for veteran recovery programs through VVAS.

1,000 Miles. One Mission. A Lasting Impact. — For Veteran Recovery, in honor of SSgt Allen Davis, USMC
