Valdez Veterans Alliance Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to removing barriers to the benefits and services veterans have earned through their service.
Built on a lifelong dedication to duty, VVAS ensures that no veteran, service member, or surviving family member must navigate complex systems alone.
Founded by retired United States Marine Corps Master Sergeant Edward G. Valdez, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, VVAS reflects more than two decades of military leadership and over a decade of firsthand experience navigating veteran support systems after retirement.
What began as a mission to honor military tradition has grown into a structured, community-driven organization focused on measurable impact and long-term solutions for veterans.

VVAS is led by Jade Valdez, President & CEO, who oversees day-to-day operations with discipline, accountability, and strategic focus. Under her leadership, the organization remains mission-centered, operationally sound, and deeply connected to the communities it serves.
Together, the leadership team combines military experience, community service, and strategic nonprofit development to ensure VVAS operates with integrity and purpose.
The roots of VVAS began with a simple yet powerful idea: bringing veterans together in fellowship while honoring military heritage. After relocating to Manatee County, Florida, Edward and Jade Valdez recognized the strong veteran presence in their community and organized a celebration inspired by the Marine Corps Ball tradition.
The response was overwhelming. What began as a tribute quickly evolved into a movement welcoming all branches of service. The mission deepened: honoring service was not enough — veterans needed guidance, navigation, and structured support.
VVAS works at the intersection of recognition, resource navigation, and community partnership. Special focus is given to underserved veterans — including those who are rural, disabled, elderly, justice-involved, or otherwise at risk of falling through systemic gaps.

"Seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Serve the brave."
